How do we get to Loreto?
Loreto is 1,125 kilometers south of the US border. It can be reached in one day (14 hours) by car. You can also fly with Alaska Airlines, Volaris, and American Airlines. Check their schedules.
How do we get to Coco's from the airport?
Upon arrival at Loreto Airport, exit through the entrance. Hop on one of the yellow and white vans, say "Coco Cabanas," and you'll arrive in about 15 minutes.
Do you need to rent a car?
Our hotel is close to the city center. Almost anywhere is within walking distance, or you can take a taxi. If you'd like to rent a car for an excursion, we'll find the best deal in town and pick it up and drop it off upon your return.
If I drive, is there secure parking?
Yes, your vehicle and belongings are safe here; we've never had anything stolen in over 19 years of business.
Do you have parking for boats and trailers?
Our 5.8-meter boat can be parked in and out of the parking lot, but it's best to stop by and check it out before bringing your boat. A neighbor has boat parking at a reasonable rate, which might make getting in and out easier.
How far away are the beach and the marina?
We're a five-minute walk north to the public beach, where you can walk for miles. Just around the block south (five minutes) are the marina and the boardwalk.
Is it quiet and relaxing there?
Coco's is probably the quietest spot in downtown Loreto. We're just a 3-minute walk away.
Can we receive visits from friends?
If you have friends who live in Loreto, that's fine. If you have friends staying at another hotel, they can visit us, but our pools and barbecues are only sized for our guests.
Do you allow pets?
Dogs with special needs, of course. Occasionally, we also admit small, non-shedding, well-groomed, and well-behaved dogs. Iguanas, geckos, snakes, and horned toads are all welcome.
Are there cooking facilities?
Almost all of our accommodations feature full kitchens with a four-burner stove and oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, pots, pans, and utensils.
Can we drink the water?
Loreto's water is safe. I brush my teeth, shower, and, of course, wash dishes without worry. But for drinking and cooking, we have purified water.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not permitted in the cabins or cottages. Smoking is permitted on the grounds, provided that you are considerate of other guests and the wind direction.
Can we party until late?
We want everyone to have fun! But some of our guests get up early for an excursion, and at 10 p.m. it's time to turn down the noise. I'm sure they understand.
Do you have a wake-up call service?
No, but there is an alarm clock in every room.
Are there restaurants nearby?
There are excellent restaurants in Loreto. Just ask your host and they'll guide you to the dish you're craving.
Do you have telephone and internet service?
We have Wi-Fi, so please bring your laptop. We don't have phones in the rooms. The office phone can be used in case of emergency.
What activities are there?
There are both land and sea activities. First-class sport fishing, excellent diving with certified guides, some of the best snorkeling spots, and island tours. There are guided excursions to the San Javier Mission. You'll also find delicious restaurants at affordable prices for all budgets. A golf course and tennis club are a 15-minute drive away. And much, much more!
Is there a laundry service?
We don't have a guest laundry service, but there is someone on call who will wash, dry, and fold your clothes for a very reasonable fee.
Do you have bicycles to get around?
Sorry, we no longer have bikes to loan. Rental bikes are available in the village, and we can direct you to them if you'd like.
Cancellation Policies
If you cancel up to 30 days before your arrival, we'll refund you 100% less a $40.00 USD cancellation fee for each one-bedroom unit. If your reservation is for a two-bedroom unit, we'll refund you 100% less an $80.00 USD cancellation fee.
